Not me sorry however, the music on these three albums is superb and the SQ from a digital source is good. So would imagine the CD set will sound ok.

I have this set, but only had time to play one side and was as impressed as always with MoV.

I have the Animals albums and EPs on CD and this promises to be better sound quality from the sample I've played.

Thanks, Wat - I may have to get this. I think the Animals get a bit overlooked in relation to other 60s groups who are now seen as a bit more hip, but their music is fantastic.

Thanks Wat and Cdb. Did not realise the band  had such a following on the forum.  I'll see if I can dig out an original copy of their first album as I DO like it and it  must sound great. I Will also have a listen to their earlier material as well as Spirit of 76. Thanks again.

Haven't listened to it for a while,  Steve. I wish I had the original as it sounds a bit muffled  on Spotify.

Back in the  late 70s I had to search for ages to find a copy of this - I think it must have got deleted and there were few 2nd hand copies about. Spirit were great, both in their original formation and in the later Randy California/Ed Cassidy group. Spirit of 76, the double album, is a classic in my opinion.

There were loads about in the UK in the 70s 80s and 90s

Ask Jimmy Page where he got the intro to stairway to heaven from?

Jimi Hendrix. The Cry Of Love. 2014 vinyl reissue. Sonically and musically the least engaging Hendrix LP I have.

I find much more fun in discovering 'obscure' music like Tchaikovsky's Les Saisons or Medtner's short works than listening to a twentieth version of a very famous piece.

Mr. AK-47 is brilliant.

Diana Ross and The Supremes. Anthology. On 3 LPs from 1974. Fun music from Motown and a bygone era.

Bruce Springsteen. 18 Tracks. On HDCD from 1999. Because MNF is a blow out.

Willy and the Poor Boys is the fourth studio album by American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, released by Fantasy Records in November 1969.

Thanks - in fact it's the other way round - I have the CDs and I agree about the music. I was wondering if the vinyl would be an improvement. The CDs have gone through something called the No-noise system to reduce tape hiss - and no doubt interfering with other elements of the sound quality. I might get in touch with MoV who do sometimes respond to queries of this sort.

The cd has had all the life taken out of it because of the use of No Noise. Now when were talking good sounding Animals comps. Get this one and it is dirt cheap.

Preparing myself for the concert of the master this evening in Munich, looking forward to it. Also there he will be playing sonatas of Schubert

Liking what I hear. Got a couple of comparisons to do before I pass final judgement.

One of my favourite albums that has stayed that way since I was 14. Downloaded this from Hi Res Audio this morning. This is a must for fans of this album the hi res version is the most analogue digital recording I have heard very warm and detailed sound. Oops it's just finished playing....Think I'll start over again.

qobuz are also offering a high res version (24/96) for just under £10

It's a done deal. :-)

The only issue I have is I've just played it too many times over the last 30+ years... Only get's played a couple of times a year now but still sounds fantastic every time.

Not to mention that the title "Complete Animals" can be somewhat deceptive as it includes only songs produced by Mickie Most (as the subtitle does indicate). Later Animals greats not produced by Most (Sky Pilot, San Fransican Nights, River Deep Mountain High, and Monterey) are included in the title shown by Ewe and I'd consider those essential. But I guess those songs are from "Eric Burdon and The New Animals" catalog and not part of a purist's "Animals".

Giving it a first listen - interesting but not sure if it is justifying the glowing plaudits just yet. FKA Twigs - LP1

I'm sorry but I find that cover particularly disturbing... I don't know why but I just do. I don't know if that is swaying me but, tbh, I'm not a big fan of the music either.

With thanks to Gian, this is one of my "go to" albums when I am in the mood for some Van.

Happy you like it Jeff! Indeed one of my VM best imho. Both first vinyl and remaster cd sound great at my ears.

There's another record with JLH

Mogwai ~ Rave Tapes

This their last album to date, released in 2014. I became a real fan of Mogwai a couple of years ago. Their distinctive sound really hits the spot when in the mood.
