Sam Gopal - Escalator (1969)
Original Vinyl
Psychedelic rock .... Sam Gopal played tabla and the band included a guy called Ian Willis on lead guitar and vocals; who was actually Ian Fraser Kilmister - Lemmy - before his Hawkwind days.
On vinyl.
I don't recall who turned me on to this on this thread, but my brother worked his magic and now I have it on CD:
And a thanks to whomever it was! Excellent performance and well recorded.
Do the European versions have the watercolor-able inner sleeve?
America. Greatest Hits. On vinyl from 1975. Nice timbre to the acoustic strings in their recordings.
J.J. Johnson (trombone), Dan Faulk (tenor sax), Renee Rosnes(piano),
Rufus Reid (bass), Victor Lewis (drums)

Highly recommended.
The Beatles. Something New. Capitol orange label bought in December 1977. Still sounds fantastic.
The Beatles. Rarities. On vinyl from 1980. Not played in a very long time (like 30 years or more).
On vinyl. A freebie from a box in the neighbor's outgoing a few years back.
Cafe Blue (HDCD Master) Collector's Edition
The Cars. Door To Door. Promo copy on audiophile vinyl from 1987. The SQ and soundstage on this LP is pretty impressive. Unfortunately, The Cars best music was behind them at this point.
The Bill Evans Trio "Portrait in Jazz" and "Explorations"
The two studio albums by the Bill Evans (piano) - Scott LaFaro (bass) - Paul Motian (drums) trio.
Recorded in 1961, the music comprises mainly standards, but the influential interpretations were considered to be far from routine or predictable at the time. LaFaro and Motian perform as almost equal partners with Evans.

Bill Evans "Interplay"
"Interplay" is an interesting Bill Evans album, recorded in July 1962, with trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, guitarist Jim Hall, bassist Percy Heath, and drummer Philly Joe Jones performing five standards.

One J.J. Johnson album I don't have which I need to rectify
FRANK BLACK - BLACK LETTER DAYS - eighteen track c.d. from 2002.
typical stuff on this one, i.e. mercurial, bewildering and unsettling but beautiful songs.

Listening to the JJ Johnson “Heroes” album earlier made me think of John Coltrane's “Blue Train” album which features another fine trombonist, Curtis Fuller.
Full personnel:
John Coltrane — tenor saxophone
Lee Morgan — trumpet
Curtis Fuller — trombone
Kenny Drew — piano
Paul Chambers — bass
Philly Joe Jones — drums
Rec. 1957

LOL - I did too, but I wasn't 100% certain, and didn't want to slight someone else if I was wrong...
This set of albums have all been getting a lot of play here since its release a couple of weeks ago.
Bit of a bargain too at £12.
