Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine (2004)
Streaming: CD FLAC rip
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Hard Promises. 2001 HDCD remaster of the 1981 release. Excellent SQ and one of TPs best albums.
LP x 2 - Decca 2011 : )
The first track horrendous murdering of 'Martha My Dear' is a concerning start,
but fortunately from track 2 on this is an excellent album : )
Debs
Anouar Brahem - oud
John Surman - soprano saxophone, bass clarinet
Dave Holland - double bass
Pink Floyd. The Endless River. On CD from a few weeks ago. I've only had a few listens and am still forming an opinion on it, though I suspect I give it some concession by knowing it's PF.
Do the European versions have the watercolor-able inner sleeve?
I bought the original in UK, just after it was released, it has the watercolor-able inner sleeve, and a few clicks and pops. Are you asking about a newer version? This is one of my very favorite Zep albums, the actual favorite, is the one I am listening to at the time!
I was referring to the original. My US copy has the same cover shown. The reason I ask is because I've had it all these years and never knew about the water colors. No instructions on the sleeve. It wasn't until reading online a year or so ago that I learned of the water colors. So I tried it and they still work some 35 years later. A very cool and unique idea for an inner sleeve.
LP x 2 Mobile FidelityEMI 2010 special limited edition 000442 : )
One of the nicest albums in my record collection
Debs
Mono vinyl from the new box set. Quite good.
Blue Öyster Cult's second album Tyranny and Mutation.
Not as strong as their debut album.
Intimate performances, with superb interplay between piano and violin.
Cheers
EJ
On CD:-
Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery
It's good - but I have the feeling I like Andras Achiff's version better, while I didn't do a direct one to one comparison
Great band! I'm wating to get the live album with Jimmi Page.
There are 2 versions of the Jimmy Page album. I have a copy of the earlier version.
There are two different covers. I've found the 2000 victor release but these japanese are so expensive. Btw i don't even know if it's good. They say enhanced but.........
On its first ever listen.
The Sicilian Defence unreleased album that comes with this set.

On vinyl from 1991: Chris Whitley - "Living with the Law"
I bought this not long after it came out in 1991. I haven't played it for ages, and I don't know why I didn't buy any more of his albums. This is really good blues rock in a sort of John Mellencamp style.
"Poison Girl" is a really great track!
I must check out some more of his stuff.
Album is good. I have the AAD Columbia 1991 cd release but does not sound so good. MUSIC ON VINYL made a 180 LP reissue in 2013. Maybe better?

I have not come across the 180g release, and have not heard the CD to compare, but the sound quality of my standard vinyl LP from 1991 is excellent.

Hi-re download from Qobuz: Bruce Springsteen - "Nebraska"
I have quite a lot of albums by Bruce Springsteen although I am not a huge fan, and they don't get played very often. However, this is one album that does get played - definitely one of my favourite (possibly my favourite) Springsteen album.
Santana - Abraxas (1970)
Original Vinyl

Jah rasta cats would like this.
As a result of the BBC Music Awards last night
