My thoughts exactly.

Great album!

There isn't a bad sounding version of the disc. I have the MFSL, Japanese 1st and also the Demon UK version with the following cover.

Which version do you have the original mastering or the later remaster?

Hi Ewemon! I have the 1987 395 158-2 made in Germany. Inner sleeve reports "digitally remastered" at A&M in USA by Alan Yoshida. Copy is good but with all these remasters you wonder if they can go further up.....

Alan Yoshida is a well respected Mastering engineer. Some of his XRCD work is brilliant but it all depends on whether or not they gave him the original mastertapes or a dub.

Not sure they are going to be able to get much more off the tapes for cd replay but who knows I as haven't heard the high res downloads. But never say never as DAC's are improving all the time.

Meant to say earlier that I also have a full set of his A&M albums on Japanese mini lp sleeve SHM cd and they aren't bad sounding either.

I Think his best also on vinyl

Heard this a couple of times in the last days in my car and during fitness. Great album, gives you a hint of Pink Floyd while they have become a band on their own.
