Hannah's voice is definitely a recommendation on its own, just like Nico's(without the accent!). Their sound is similar to The XX,  the songs are wrapped in guitar "flicks" and Portishead-like atmospheric beats. Check the net for videos, etc... I can guarantee you will fall in love with Miss Reid's voice though. I think it's worth getting it!

Best,

Tony

Cheers Tony. Just listening to the XX at the moment. Sounds like I should also invest in London Grammar.

Tony didn't realise that the Italian company Doxy had released it in 2013 but from the titles I have heard and seen of theirs I wouldn't normally touch it with a 10' barge pole. Their vinyl is usually mastered from either a cd or an old slab of vinyl with all it's clicks and pops.

They used to release titles under the Abraxas label.

They are one of those companies that were set up in the last 10- 12 years to exploit the Euro copyright laws. That is why the artwork is different as they maybe able to release the title but can't copy the original artwork. Artwork has a different copyright law.

My copy is an official MCA/Duke Records cd.

Slippery slope Steve.  Buying compilation albums can lead you off in all sorts of directions and introduce you to some great music. One word of advice though, don't buy the Vertigo or Deram Nova samplers otherwise you might have to remortgage the house.
