This subtle, sublime collaboration finds bassist Charlie Haden and guitarist Pat Metheny crafting bejewelled chamber duets that transcend genre. With their shared Missouri lineage as a thematic touchstone, Haden and Metheny forge a lyrical, mostly acoustic style at once intimate and expansive. Both pare their playing to a Zen-like economy, focusing on a purity of tone, clarity of harmony, and counterpoint to achieve a tender lyricism.

Hi Stevee_S

I've got the 24 bit version of this but apart from the more conventional tracks (Foreign Affair, Shadow on the Wall and Moonlight Shadow) I'm finding it very hard to get into this album. Not like me when it comes to Mr. Oldfield.

I have to agree with you Sorren it's OK but that's about it unfortunately. The upside is I didn't go and buy it on spec' just listening via Quobuz.

Have to say that I am really disappointed with the Quobuz music database. There appears to be vast amounts of artists and albums totally MIA. For example a quick search for King Crimson has turned up absolutely nothing, zip, nada, rien, sweet FA!

Some of the recorded memories on this album makes listening to it apposite in the centenary of the start of WWI

Now for a little more from the metrognomes of Zürich...

I understand your frustration but it perhaps should be directed toward King Crimson decision makers (whoever that is, currently i.e.: members, family trusts) as they are MIA on Spotify as well.  As I understand it, the artists decide what they will agree to with these services.

good listenin'

On CD. 2009 Stereo Re-Master. Tomorrow Never Knows is probably the greatest leap forward in modern popular recording history IMO. Gets me every time.
