What was the first ever record you bought?

Are you proud to announce it or slightly embarrassed as your taste has changed?
Mine is A taste of honey - Boogie Oogie Oogie. I was 11yrs of age and it was number 1 in the chart
Disco is still sometimes a guilty pleasure...
and before anyone goes there, I'm happily married with a son!
Over to you....
Go on, It'll do you good to get it out there
From memory, as I've not heard it for a while, Talk of the Devil out Sabbaths Sabbath.
Bought for my then girlfriend
I have always thought that this was Cliff and The Shadows greatest album... I still play it regularly.

I subsequently bought another copy for myself and still enjoy it.
First one I bought with my pocket money!
Oh Yes!
It were 1982 and I was 12 years old. A mate's parents had recently purchased a video recorder (we did not have one), we watched Rocky III and I get swept up in all the heroic bravado rubbish.
I just recently found out that Sylvester Stallone actually wrote the original script for Rocky...where did I read that?
Havent played it for over 20 years....and not about to
Jason.

I had to listen to that on youtube. It's the song I was thinking, but for all these years I thought it was the Everly Brothers .
My first three serious records - bought on the same day (probably in 1973) so I consider these to be my firsts. The third was Leonard Pennario playing Romantic Piano Music but couldn't find a cover photo. All affected me profoundly and to this day I still recollect listening in the dark while looking out the window looking at the stars and thinking how out of this world this music sounded to me. I also thought these sounded remarkably good even on a nothing turntable compared to today (all three stacked meant I could listen for maybe an hour without having to turn them over )
(a photo search led me right to this Kuma signature shot but I'll have you know I ain't paying any royalties )
My first album purchase
The Sweet.....fox on the run 7 in single.
... and this was my first classical LP inspired by my first ever visit to the Royal Festival Hall to hear the organ.. which, after its recent restoration, celebrates it's 60th birthday in March. I will be there again to mark the occasion!
1812 with Christmas money and after attending an Arthur Davison children's concert at Fairfield Halls (thanks Mum and Dad even if I did not always appreciate it at the time). Blondie was first LP I bought with pocket money earned from choir singing and diverse chores
First Album
Never had a record player until recently, but I vividly remember saving up to buy "Tug of War" with Paul Mcartney. Unfortunately, it was sold out and I had to settle for "Jump Up" with Elton John.

Standing In The Road by Blackfoot Sue was the first one, so, yes
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme , christmas 1969. Times Drug Store, Kingston, Jamaica. I was 13 and had just been given a Crown portable record player. I still have record but the player went many years ago I regret.

Debs
I got a gift of "Super Session" by Bloomfield/Kooper/Stills, and I bought something by Paul Revere and the Raiders, and soon got a record by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Then I was off to the races!
My first single was "Fox On The Run" but by "Manfred Mann" - it's a totally different song to the one by The Sweet.
My first LP was Relics by Pink Floyd.
What is this one?
