Album art - Streaming only or USB - SuperUniti
Posted by: Ben B on 07 January 2014
Dear All,
I wonder if you can help me please.
I have a SuperUniti and NAP 250.2
I am currently using a USB stick in the front to access some music files (FLAC)
I have a Netgear wireless router cabled to the SuperUniti and an iPad and iPhone with n-Stream on for controlling via WiFi. All works fine apart from: no album artwork
I have read a number of articles on here but none have answered my question/solved my issue so far...
On my USB stick I have a folder structure as follows: Artist > Album > track files (.flac)
My files were ripped from CD using Media Monkey into FLAC; images embedded.
I know that n-Stream cannot read embedded images (which is a shame by the way ) so I read that if I create a "content.jpg" or "folder.jpg" image file and save this in the Album folder it will work.
It doesn't!
I have tried clearing the app cache.
I have tried changing the pixel number on the image: started at 500x500, then 250x250
What is going on here?
Are we basically saying that via USB images don't work.
Will it work on my Netgear ReadyNas via UPnP?
Can I escalate this up to a Naim engineer?
Thanks for any help; much appreciated.
Ben
