Can you use n-Cents as left and right fronts?

I see many a n-cent on the 2nd hand market and not to many n-Sats, and was just wondering if it was feasible to use the n-Cents as the fronts?

Sorry Monster, I have no idea what your talking about!
Jason.
using an n-cent as a mono speaker with a brilliant old marantz amp.
sounds pretty amazing in my kitchen.
however, if you wanted to use two as fronts in a less ideal room than my kutchen, then just like my n-sats, i would not use them without the n-sub.
they obviously don't have the ooomph that a could sounding set of speakers needs for music playback. not unless you help the sound along by pairing it with an adjustable amp (bass, mids, treble, loudness etc.).
so yes, possible. as a 2nd system. sure. as a surround system. yep. as a main system, use a sub with them.
Hmmm!
There was I thinking "n-Cents" was a joke, or a rappers name or a typo, but I was just ignorant after the fact.
Jason.
Thanks, back to the drawing board... and time to think about a new set of speakers to do both stereo and AV duties (currently using some old 603s and LCR60.....)

Have a listen to Neat Iota speakers. They will surprise you how good they are and far better than their size suggests

If you already have an n-Cent and are thinking of trying it out for what they fetch on the used market £250 tops) it could be worth trying out. Certainly cheaper than a new set of what else has been suggested.
Give it it a go & let us know!
The N-Cents seems to use the same components as the N-Sats, only it has two woofers and one tweeter.
I remember that my N-Cent sounded very different from my N-Sats when I had it, and it is not strange because the center channel in DD is in charge of dialogues and presence.
Mine seemed more beefy, more 'fat' sounding than the Sats, with a mellower voice, but I have had only one and am not sure if it was ok...
One advantage of using two as L & R, is that if you place them vertically back to the wall they'll have a natural toe-in that could be pleasant.. And they can be put as a left and a right, facing inwards.

I still have an n-Cent up in the loft after moving up to an Axess to match the SL2 Front L/Rs. Still have wall mounted n-Cents for the rears.
No surprise that the n-Cent would have a beefier sound as it's designed to handle a big portion of the material in 5.1/7/1 use hence the double drivers as well as the much bigger cabinet to house it all.
It works really real between a pair of n-Cents in surround use tho but i get even more centre 'fill' with the Axess as expected.
