What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?
Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014
With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.
The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.
So what are you buying and downloading?

Ruby The Hatchet ~ Ouroboros
Ruby The Hatchet ~ Eliminator
Good choice Steve. If you like them, Valley of the Snake is even better
Thanks Russell. It was from your recommendation yesterday.

This is the version I first heard, and so is one of my favourite. As a teenager I was forced to sit and so homework in the dining room whilst my mother listened to this in the living whilst doing the ironing! I hated the schoolwork but fell in love with this.
Seminal stuff.
Another favourite.

Hermione Grainger released an album?
@Herr Schurink: some interesting jazz stuff, you've got me following you now on Bandcamp... hope that's OK?

Hi Gary,
no worries - that's how people get to new music. And it's not Herr even while I am living already for a long time in Germany - I am still happy to be Dutch.
ps give Avashai Cohen on trumpet a try very dynamic music.
cheers,
bert
From Bandcamp in FLAC 16/44.1 and MP3 320
I'm not listening until I get the CD :-)
Camera - Radiate!
16/44.1
Another Neu! influenced motorik band, this time from Germany - they've played with Michael Rother and Dieter Moebius. It doesn't do anything new but what it does is very good (see also Eat lights Become lights)
Autumn Of Communion - Autumn Of Communion
I picked up on this from the Touched 2 humongous electronic collection (track End (Sunrise For Claudio)). This is the first album and it's sublimely spacey ambient stuff, on the late-lamented Pete Namlook's label..
Superb video btw
Alva Noto - Xerrox Vol 3
Gentle, rather cinematic, glitchy electronica. 16/44.1 from Boomkat.

Yes I got this as well. Their daily deals are excellent value and accordingly low risk for checking out new music.
