What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?
Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014
With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.
The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.
So what are you buying and downloading?
Jazz with flavours of progressive rock music, interesting from Bandcamp
Strong guitar jazz in high res from Bandcamp
Difficult to indicate the style - progressive instrumental rock, or something in that range - from Bandcamp
John Taylor and John Surman - magic, on bandcamp
On my wishlist for long finally did it - Bandcamp
Qobuz 16/44,1
Bert, is there any bandwidth left in Holland today?
Courtney Swain - Monstre https://courtneyswain.bandcamp.com/album/monstre
If you like this, then Courtney will stretch your mind a bit more with her band Bent Knee...

;-) yes I have been a bit on the adventurous side. While it only affects the bandwidth in Germany so my home country will still have bandwidth left. At the end it was 7.1 GB, I had bigger sized downloads in the past.....
I've been mildly naughty today (though a few were free) but you make me look like a saint in my wife's eyes (who's also my chief accountant and Finance Director - I can get nothing past her)
It's OK though, you're also providing me with lots of new stuff to try out (not to mention those rascals Steve, Denis and Russell)
I blame Russell he pointed me down the Bandcamp rabbit hole a year or so ago when he introduced me to Hungry Lucy. No s******ing at the back! I thought I had the download "thing" under control but then along came a certain Nick Lees and the rest as they say is history...

Perhaps we should start a Bandcamp Annonymous........I am Bert and I am a bandcamp addict.....

Who me?
All from Bandcamp ...
The highlights. A couple of very good Prog albums
Harvest - Northern Wind
Ciccada - The finest of miracles
and some Goth music. I was at the Whitby Goth Weekend where I saw Jordan Reyne perform. The sounds she created using a couple of loop machines and an acoustic guitar were amazing. Such a large sound. I also saw a band called Manuskript and both Doctor and the Medics and The Damned, all of which were extremely entertaining and really got the crowd bopping (if you'll excuse the term).
Jordan Reyne - The Annihilation Sequence
Jordan Reyne - [MAIDEN], Mother, Crone
Jordan Reyne - Maiden, [Mother], Crone
Jordan Reyne - Maiden, Mother, [CRONE]
Bella Morte - Exorcisms
