What is the latest music you downloaded, what resolution and from where?

Posted by: Stevee_S on 13 January 2014

With more music being downloaded I thought it might be interesting to see what forum members are buying and from where.

The news that HD Tracks are soon to open an online UK store means that more choice is going to be available to us. The variety and quality of downloadable music we can choose from is expanding, MP3 to 24bit studio Masters at 192kHz and beyond.

So what are you buying and downloading?

I don't know if you can speak of a talent if she already has a couple of albums under her belt, but I think she is a person to watch 16/44.1 on Qobuz Sublime..

Bert, I came across this yesterday morning and of course could not resist.  I have her earlier two recordings too and as long as she keeps recording the music that is in my books the greatest music in existence I'll keep supporting her.  I've ordered the old fashioned CD so I get to wait a month before it arrives.  They say suffering builds character and so as stubborn as I am I'll invite the suffering in to my life by not having instant gratification.  Actually, I have plenty of things to distract me until then

Would you recommend it?

Haven't had the opportunity to listen to it very deeply, will get back to you after Christmas with a verdict.

So as promised I had a listen to this and also compared it with a version of Itzhak Perlman. Both are good, but I would say that I prefer the version of Itzhak as he has a more rich tone. For both I would like to hear more emotions, so I will still compare it with other versions I have.

so would I recommend it, it's definitely not a bad version, so if you want yo have multiple versions it's good. If it's going to be your only version, search further.
