Agreed,

over 40c is truly horrible. You cannot hide from it.

A friend in Perth said that 50 homes near him were burnt to the ground and there have a been some deaths due to fires. He had to hose down the house roof and garden plants to stop cinders starting fires in his garden and his house. The Helicopter was over his area for a few days dealing with the fires in the nearby bush. Moral of story do not live where the address ends in Forest. he is 100m from the forest and gets very very nervous when the temps get this high.

But I visited him and the highest temp was 44.3 c in 2008. That was truly ghastly. You could not get away from the heat, even indoors with aircon on. Also driving the car was fierce too.

You could not sit outside at all or do anything except hide from the heat.

30c is what I enjoy as a max temp.

Yep, and it seems to be getting worse. Or maybe I'm getting old.
