If this is an idiot question, please forgive me

 

I'm using Asset to point to my files on my WD NAS and on an external HD plugged into a Netbook.  It works well through my UQ2

 

But, when I move a file across, it shows almost immediately in Asset in both places it is stored but for anything up to 24 hours, although the files shows in Asset it says "no content available" if I try to play it.  The only way to do so is to play it via the computer through Foobar 2K and into the UQ2

 

Anyone know why this is, and if there is anything I need to do to speed it up

When you do this kind of file move, you can manually force a rescan by Asset from its config panel.

It sounds like the UPnP server software had not yet indexed the new additions.  The files were on the hard drive, but not indexed by the server yet.  As Manu recommended, if you force a re-scan when you're done adding new music, you'll cut down on the delay.
