Firmware upgrade - any difference to sound quality?

Hi all,

Is it possible to get any difference in sound quality between firmware versions? I ask becasue last night i updated my naimuniti from version 3.0 to the latest and greatest firmware, and it seems like the uniti is performing better in the bass department, which sounded quite thin before hand - but there again i could just be imagining it.

There is no mention of changes to sound in any of the notes accompanying the firmware, so i guess it is the latter?

I have not noticed such an effect for the HDX but to my ears the NDS has been susceptible to this, sometimes positively sometimes not.
