Good question, probably something to do with demand, the first albums probably don't sell as good as the later ones maybe?

Mayhap! Certainly a very different vibe, reflecting their changed muscial directions after the departure of Vince Clarke.

We'll I have them all on cd, so I'm gonna treat myself to songs of faith and devotion then violator maybe ultra. My favourite period is with Alan wilder I was gutted when he left.

although I do think delta machine is the best album they have done since ultra.

I think these are the reissues of the releases they did a few years back. I have A broken frame and Some great reward and they both sound superb. Have just order Black Celebration which is one of my favourites.

Yeah playing the angel and sounds of the universe are the weak links. I don't really play the first albums at all, mainly play from music for the masses. Violator is without a doubt my favourite.

I have worn out my original "speak and spell" and "broken frame" so will be replacing them. Love those first two albums!
