Why no Blackberry or Android phone apps for the Naim Forum?

Is the Iphone or Ipad the only mobile devices anyone uses these days because I'm sure there are alternatives.

Well, if Naim make an Android app, they can submit the API at no cost and re-package it as an app for the forthcoming BlackBerry Playbook tablet. RIM have announced that they plan to make an Android App player for this tablet, and any developer can re-submit their Android app to be made available via the BlackBerry App Store.

If their forthcoming phone OS7 (at least a year away) is developed from the QNX OS for the Playbook (as many believe it will be) then the potential takeup for such an app across BB & Android will be huge.

For probably a day's extra work once the Android app is done, any developer would be mad not to open their work up to a larger audience.

Fingers crossed.

Mike, thanks for a great post and something for Naim to chew on, Apple aren't the only game in town.

I'd be happy with a Windows app (or programme as we used to call them). I just want to control the Uniti from a laptop without having to buy an apple.

Doesn't even have to be an app. HTTP remote control would surely be nice & easy.

The iPhone app isn't fully working yet either.

All round it looks like we've gone as far as we're going to.

It seems to be "isn't fully working" is the mantra around these parts , and tech in general IMO.

Love to have the app for the naimunity on my s. galaxy SII phone.

By the way, expected that the android market would be more compatable than apple with naim, in culture.
