Posted by: Simoncarr on 25 February 2014
Hi
Does anyone know how to stream Qobuz to my Naim Unitiqute2. I can get it working on my ipod touch using musicflow, but i would rather use my Andriod tablet. I just cant seem to find away to connect the two. I can stream from local music but not music playing on Qobuz.
thanks
Simon

Hi Simon
I eventually bought Asset server for my laptop as I can play anything; Qobuz, Spotify, etc. and just use the WASAPI soundcard output to stream (admittedly only at 320bps MP3 quality) to my UQ2. I looked but did't find a way to stream from my tablet
I stream to my NDS via Apple TV or connect directy via USB for better sound quality.

KRM,
What quality does your apple TV support?
and
If I understand there is an app for Qobuz for the apple TV? or are you using a computer to apple tv to NDS?
I believe the ATV is 16 bit but converts everything to 48 khz. Hi res stuff is on a NAS which streams via a Unitiserve.
i stream from the iPad to the ATV via Airplay. The ATV is connected to the NDS via an optical cable.
i am unaware of the Qobuz app you mention, but will look into it.

Thanks Guys....so i guess at the moment I can use my apple ipod via Musicflow app or i need to link my Samsung tablet to the UQ with a USB.
I really thought that there would be an andriod app similar to musicflow.
I just sold my apple TV on ebay since we never used it.....maybe i should have kept it.

Could you explain how you use Asset to stream Spotify/Qobuz please?
I have Asset on a PC streaming my FLAC files, but do I need anything else to allow me to do this, or is it just in the Asset set-up?
Thanks

Hi Gavin
When you run Asset on a PC (and Windows 7 or 8 only I believe) you can stream anything you play on your PC using WASAPI. On your client (nStream, Bubble or whatever) select Asset/Advanced Search/PC Sound Capture [WASAPI]/Speakers ... The music streams around 10 seconds behind what is playing on your PC (and you can have your PC set to speaker off and it still works). You also need to configure Asset to play at 320bps and mp3. I can't remember how you get to the settings but it was quite easy to find.
