Mastering engineer declares ceasefire in loudness wars

"In a surprising announcement made at last Autumn's AES convention in New York, the well-known American mastering engineer Bob Katz declared in a press release that "The loudness wars are over.”

Great article Ebor and thanks for sharing. Compression is a problem for sure and one of the reasons I now listen to most 'new' recordings on vinyl. I hope they sort this out as it is spoiling our enjoyment of music.
