Naim Retailers in Yorkshire

Posted by: Stormin Norman "Bites Yer Legs" on 08 March 2014

Good Morning All,

Can anyone please recommend a Naim Retailer in Yorkshire that is willing to spend time and show a good degree of PATIENCE with a newbie customer like myself.

I know there is the Find a Retailer link on the Naim website but I would rather go to a well recommended retailer that can offer me good advice and genuine help.

Many Thanks.

Moorgate Acoustics in Sheffield. I have been buying Naim from them for nearly 30 years and it has always been the same brilliant and helpful manager. (Paul Hobson)

I would like to add that I have been a very `picky` and awkward customer at times and Moorgate have always been very  been fantastic and helpful.

Thanks

Mark

Purchased my uniti2 from the Sound Organisation in York. Was very impressed with demo facilities, the knowledge of the staff and eagerness to offer advice and support post purchase. Their coffee isn't bad either! I often call in the shop when I'm in York and they always have time for a chat. Give them a ring.

What happened to all the earlier postings on this topic?

Is it violating some Forum policy or is it that I just cant see them?

+1 for Moorgate.

You should be a bit more specific though as Yorkshire is a big county. Having said that - your avatar might suggest a city with an Elland Road connection

Sorry Richard,

Posted the same topic on Hi Fi Corner and Streaming Audio sections to get the most feed back to be honest.

Cheers all for the helpful replys.

How ironic that the Sound Organisation, US distributor of Naim, is about to be replaced by Audio Plus Canada. Focal will impose it's will.

Different Sound Organisations, I suspect

I bought my first Naim system from Roger and Hamish at the original (?) Sound Organisation in Southwark London in the early 80's.  Since Hamish's move to York I was pleased to see that the same standards were maintained (that was the late 90's when I visited him there).  I was there again in 2008 and all still looked good and the staff were helpful.

Always had first class service from Andrew Oliver at Audio Republic in Leeds.
