Top support from Naim!

Posted by: GeeJay on 16 March 2014

Well my UnitiServe SSD returned from repair in Salisbury, and so I picked it up on Friday.  Even though the workshop couldn't replicate my fault, they replaced many of the components (SATA cables, PSU, front illuminated logo display) as a preventative measure.

I had an issue reconnecting it into my system (wouldn't stream HD music - kept losing buffer).  Quick as a flash, my dealer reached out to Phil Harris at Naim on Saturday.  Now, I'm sure Phil had loads of better ways to spend his weekend, however he phoned me, connected to my home network, diagnosed the system and my gigabit network, and made some recommendations that got me up and working again.

Top job Phil - a huge thanks!!  A good reminder to anyone who feels like moaning about stuff, that Naim does care about customers and goes the extra distance to make sure the customer is satisfied.

Thanks again.

I've owned in the region of 20 Naim components over the years, whether they be s/h or new, they have never been back to the dealer/factory due to faults. This is a testament to the reliability of their components. I hope I never have to use their customer service because I'd be a loss with what to do with my spare ^_^

Quoted bit is so important to me.  Companies or shops who fail in that aspect lose me as a customer for good.

I understand and accept things can occasionally go wrong but it's the response that counts for me.

Good to hear the OP had a positive outcome.

I've needed the service more than once. The speed and attitude with which it was delivered is a part of why I've kept coming back.

Thoroughly commend the service too. Have has one or twoglitches over the years and there is always someone from technical support to help out. And the praise for Phil isthoroughly deserved - top bloke, logged in to my US remotely a couple of times to sort out network configuration issues because I didn't know how too.

Awww shucks guys...

*EMBARRASED*

I'm glad that your experiences have been good ... and George, It was lovely to talk with you on Saturday.

Remember we're just human too and we know what sort of service we'd like to receive so we (everyone here at Naim) do try our hardest to provide the service that we'd hope to receive elsewhere - I'm quite sure we don't always get it absolutely right and I'm sure there are many ways we could do better but I assure you that we do try ... after all I love my music too!

Phil

( By the way George - I'm still jealous about the F-Type ... had a "spirited" run down the A34 / A303 a little while ago alongside one and it's one of the few cars that I lust for more than my own TVR - the engine note on those is awesome!!! )

Hi Phil,

Glad to hear you are driving the TVR again following your back problem, keep well.

Cheers

Bill.

Thanks Phil!

It's good to be embarrassed every now and again, especially with all the great support that you've given to so many people over the years!

Yes, enjoying the F-Type still, especially now the nicer weather is here and the the roof can come down.  I still love the TVRs though....nothing beats the sound of the fantastic V8 on this Classic British metal.  I nearly had a Chimera back in the 90's.....

Huge thanks again for your help on Saturday.

ATB.  George.
