iPad n-stream and n-serve unitiserve issues
Posted by: mackb3 on 29 March 2014
ipad version of n-stream will not find NDX and n-serve will not find the unitiserve. Both apps work fine on my iphone, ipod and n-serve on my macbook. Any ideas?
Have you got a second router or booster on the network the ipad could be connecting to?
Opposite way round for me, iPad n-stream and n-serve, OSX n-serve, Windows DTC all find NDS and Unitiserve fine, the iPhone apps do not? Curious.
Everything is on the same network, they did both work for a while, about a week, now only the iPad works, for me? When iPhone worked as well when I tried to connect I would get a message saying another connection is active (that being the iPad).
I am at a loss to work this one out also, and I bet it is something fairly simple, a tick of an option somewhere or a setting, but what that is for now???
Bah!

Had a second wifi/router/switch all in one box working to separate the two (iPad and iPhone) network connections/access points, and this allowed the iPhone to connect via n-serve on one connection and iPad connected via n-stream on the other (all going through a main 8 port switch, other router is at the phone line end taking the BB signal in), as a test. It worked but not ideal having two wifi signals in the local network. Might re-visit this today to redo this test and see what confusions I can cause :-)
Rattlesnaic and Dan43. Thanks for the nudge and found the Issue. I have a dual band Apple AirPort Extreme feeding an 8 port switch with CAT7's to the US and NDX. The AirPort default band must be feedind the switch and I had the iPad wirelessly on the guest band. When I switched the iPad to the same band all began working. Checked the iPod and iPhone and both are on the main band as well.
Cheers!
