Synology DS 213j backup for HDX

I have just purchased the Synology 2 x 3tb and have set up the three files "NaimRips", " NaimBackup" and "NaimDownload"  in accordance with the article in the Naim Knowledge Base. It then says I should set up the folders as a store, a backup location and a shared folder using Desktop Client in Windows 7. I cannot see a way of doing this can anyone guide me please? Is there a manual for Desktop Client - if so where can I download it? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
