George,
I believe the solemn mass to which you refer (if my Latin is correct) follows the orthographic rule of two s and one i in each of the title words. Should be spelt Missa Solemnis. I certainly found it a solemn piece of music.

Dear Joe,

I have asked Richard to correct my typo in the title of this thread. I may have missed the typo, but I do know the correct spelling ...

Thanks Richard for fixing this.

My point really was that this recording contains a truly astounding performance of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis.

I wanted to share it with others. That's all.

George,

Thanks for sharing, I'd never have listened to it without your post. Hopefully someone else now will.

I wasn't trying to be brutal over the spelling, just light lighthearted, (hence the spelt above). Feel free to reciprocate next spelling error I make .

Dear Joe,

I never criticise anyone else's typing, for obvious reasons!
