Amsterdam

Hi, next month I am planning a visit to Amsterdam.  Can anyone recommend a good retailer in the centre of the city selling classical CDs please?

No, but I can reccomend a good coffee shop, " the greenhouse effect"

+1 on that - though the classical selection was a bit thin when I was last there in January.

It's still a great record shop for all kinds of music.

You might also try Fame on the top floor of Magna Plaza (just behind Royal palace of Dam Square) which is a bit like HMV in the UK and there's also a classical CD/music score shop (can't remember the name) just down from the Concertgebouw. I can only liken the latter to the ground floor of Forysthe's in Manchester!

Overall impression is that prices are higher than on-line and retail in the UK.

Thank you Vladthelmpala and Bert

I will try to visit Concerto!  Sounds like the one near the Concertgebouw might also be worth a visit.
