Yep. You need to get a record player Harry. Streaming plus vinyl is the perfect 21st century system

Please don't repeat that in front of Helen. The saving grace is that there's nowhere to (conveniently) put it.

I wish you big fun. I think I'll be joining the download party shortly.

Let's hang onto "conveniently". Every room is enhanced by a record player. If Helen can cope with the  802s then a teeny weeny turntable should be doddle. Mine (which is a very long way from maxed out) out performs the NDS + 555 on a regular basis.

The 802s are OK if you don't specify the sink plunger and ray gun option.

Mine too, sadly. Perhaps I need another 555PS!

Listen when the opportunity arises and then you'll know one way or the other.

I've only sampled the Led Zep 1 CD so far from the new remasters. I'm very disappointed with it given all the hype. I hear some clarity but that doesn't make up for the alarming loss of 'weight' and the more cohesive, natural balance that Barry Diament's CD has. I couldn't get it back on fast enough.

If the other two I have received fare no better, I don't think I'll be going any further with them. I'm surprised at the level of praise some of these are getting. This one is not the disaster that Mothership threatened thank goodness, but it doesn't do it for me at all.

I really don't understand the love for the Diament CDs.

LZs I to III are certainly better on Diament than their 1990s Marino equivalents (but IV, Presence and PG are worse), but that doesn't mean they're that good. I think these new CD issues cane them personally.
