Bob Hoskins!

Very sad news. Pennies from Heaven - priceless TV. 

This sad news is a bit of a shock, 

i had no idea he was ill

and 71 isn't old enough to pass away imo,

I liked Bob and will miss him, a great actor and a top guy

So sad, R.I.P. Bob, you left a good legacy.

Not many people leave behind a body of work that includes gems like "Long Good Friday", "Pennies From Heaven", "Brazil" and "Mona Lisa". Very good actor, and apparently a lovely geezer to boot.

I used to drool over him in pennies from heaven. Wonderful actor .

He had been suffering from Parkinson's Disease which can be very debilitating and succumbed to a bout of pneumonia. Sad loss. I thought he was younger than 71 but that's still not a great age today. RIP Bob.

Mona Lisa was a fabulous film. Sad news. He was a great actor and 71 is way too young.

Superb actor and a wonderfully loveable character.

First time I saw him  here in LA was in Pennies from Heaven, I loved that surreal show, then started seeing this talented man in so many good films and shows.  Hoskins will always be remembered.

I'll have to put that in Netflix cue.

Pneumonia is not  a bad way to go esp if it is a declining situation like my father's. I would choose it over long debilitating decline.
