Should I Return It?-Debs(Naim Nymph)

Debs or anyone else could you help.

I recently purchased from Amazon the Fleetwood Mac 1969-72 boxed set.

It came in a sealed box and the lp's look fine.

However the 7" single centre has been punched out (as per juke box). The centre is not in the box either.

Is this to be expected or should I send it back.

I bought that when it came out and that's how the single is. Do check it - mine was pressed badly off centre & it had to be replaced.

Hi Graham. I bought the FM box set on release, my single also has the juke box middle. Not sure how it plays as I have never played it  But the LPs sound good, enjoy your box.

Same as, Graham above, i've not played the 7" single.

tbh i though the single was a bit of a novelty throw in,

it was the 4 LPs i'm interested in, and they do sound lovely too : )

Thanks all for your replies.

Looks as if the punched out single is normal. Strange; I wonder why?

Anyway having checked them for blemishes and flatness I'm going to keep them.

Just remains to put them through the RCM.

I think that was how all 7 inch singles were issued in the US.

Can you not get an adapter?

I had/have one with my Philips T.T.

I'll have to search it out.

They are readily available on e-bay.

Russ Andrews also does one for the LP12 about £20  I seem to recall.

That's going to make it one hell of an expensive 7"single.

Alternative is to go to Oxfam or similar, find a single with a three-pronged adapter and buy. Even better if it's another single you want to have!
