Football Season 2014 - 2015

As requested here is the new season's thread.
Obviously the first picture has to be of the best team in the land winning 'last year's' Premier League title for the second time in 3 years.
At least the title stayed in Manchester Chris.
Congratulations Man City. I will be getting some stick from the locals at the pub tonight but I have to say that City played some fantastic football this last season.
Nice to see both of their fans out to play - a good chance to repair the woodwork.
Interesting to see that you would only think that a City fan would actually congratulate their team on their success. Have you considered counselling ?
Counselling Citeh fans? Not enough of them to make it cost effective
I don't think Citeh finished 20 points behind Liverpool so perhaps it's not their fans who need the counselling.
BTW neither do I.

If you are a true City Fan therapy comes with the subscription, I have supported them for 50 Years so please let both of us enjoy ourselves once again !!
You are both very welcome

Better still, rather than a S/T at St Marys how about one at Bournemouth ? Just think of all that traveling you wont have to do. You could even walk to the ground from your home !!

Surely that picture and comments should be posted at the end of the football season 2013/2014 thread.

in your profile under interests you need to add Loadsa coach travel.
Well, the rumour going round is that the Bongo Brothers have been talking to Ronald Koeman. If that's true, it could be brilliant - our (West Ham's) type of manager. Plays attacking, attractive football and has an enlightened attitude to bringing through young talent. Unlike the Dudley Dynamo, who refuses to buy anyone under 31.
Laudrup is another name being touted around, as are Clarke, Poyet, Mackay, Moyes (unlikely), Benitez (very unlikely).
Otherwise we could just be stuck with Fatty for another season, or worse, Alex McLeish.

Appparently Fat Sams future will be known around 23rd may. Also they have around 30 million to spend ? I reckon we will be scrapping it out again next season.

Well that's correct however we are Champions until the end of 2014/2015 and beyond hopefully

Don't mind scrapping it out Ray, just as long as the football's marginally more entertaining! Would you trust BFS with £30m? I certainly wouldn't! Apparently Steve Sidwell is his top target this transfer window! Good player, but hardly one to set the pulses racing.
Perhaps Mr H has a view?

Looking at the WHU balance sheet they aint got 30 pence to spend let alone 30 million.

Our Pikey(Sidwell) does give 100%,you carnt knock the guy for effort. He is just about Premiership quality. He is 31 now so has a few more years in him and if cheap would be a good buy for you. He can be a bit clumsy in his tackles at times.
Big changes down at our gaff very soon me thinks, and i do hope the 1st to go is Mista McGoo who is a little clueless at times. I tore my ticket to Stoke away up in disgust, but the guy i go to most away games with told me he stuck our 6ft 7in centre(Dan Burn) back at r/back and the Stoke l/winger made him look stupid. We have a very good r/back in Sacha Reitha who he left on the bench. If Burn is a r/back then i`m the next Pope.
FWIW my own views on FFC is i`m going to be laid back about it all and what will be will be. Talk is to bounce strait back up,but with McGoo steering the ship...no way.

Out of interest, Chris, what do you think of the LvG/RG dream team? Will it take you forward?

When you get 5 mins google a coach company called....Beat The Street.........This is the coach firm you want to use for your Manchester trips, real Luxury travel. Take a look on their Website at the client list its like just about everyone in the music world. My friend used this firm last year when they did a 6 week tour of Europe. Its hard to believe but he said it was only 1,000 Euros a day to hire.

Nothing particularly interesting coming from the Kop, but there is this for our friends across the pond.
