Football Season 2014 - 2015

Posted by: Steve J on 18 May 2014

As requested here is the new season's thread.

Obviously the first picture has to be of the best team in the land winning 'last year's' Premier League title for the second time in 3 years.

At least the title stayed in Manchester Chris.

While I'm sure Mourinho would have been disappointed not to have held onto the 3 pts against ten men, I suspect he would have taken the point before the game. On the balance of play I'd say a draw was a fair result. Toure looked up for this one. Poor old Drogba still looks rusty though.

Thanks for the post Richard.......you post quotes Fulham fans. So is their another idiot other than me that posts on this topic ?

Magoo should have been put before a firing squad months ago. Most interesting report by the Guardian.

Must sign off now as our TV has gone on the blink, its saying Man u got stuffed 5-3 by Leicester.

...This reminds me so much of De Canio's time at Sunderland ....at first it seems he's the kick up the backside the team needed ...then almost straight away it's clear he's as mad as a box of frogs ....luckily we made the change in time to save our status .....I think Fulham will do ok now though - they have some v good kids.

I always thought Magath was a bit weird and unconventional but if this article is even half-true he's completely bonkers. What on earth was the chairman doing recruiting him?

Good morning MDS

Our chairman/owner Mista Khan is a Billionaire based in America. he owns umpteen industries all over the world, and he himself jets all over the place. he comes across as a down to earth friendly guy,but i think what he knows about football could be written on the back of a fag packet. I think the last 3 managers we have hired.......then fired this year have all been down to our CEO, and IMHO have all been hired in a mad rush and wrong. They need to get things right this time because as things stand we are heading for League 1.

Some input from our Captain Scott(the magic roundabout) Parker would not go amiss.

Its ARRYs Autobiography

Its shapeing up to be a good read, only problem is i think the proof reader must have been a blind man. Not yet thru the 1st chapter and have already found several typos.

KEVIN

At last yesterday i watched the sheriffs visit Razor Ruddock at his/her home in Kent.Looks like he has put on a bit of weight(like about 6 stone). He owed £3K unpaid to some dog kennel company. The clip ended with him being served with bancruptcy papers. His wife was a charming lady F this,F that, and thats about all that came out of her mouth.

Well some good news from my club today: it announced it was finally debt free. All the legacy debts from administration to former players and other clubs etc have been settled, and nearly two years ahead of schedule.

It will be a long road back, and even getting out of League 2 will be tough, but clearing that legacy debt is a huge milestone.

I heard that too MDS - a pretty remarkable feat, and shows what can be done. Good luck, hope to see you guys back in the upper leagues where you belong.

Hmmm... thanks for the tip, Mista, but I have no interest in what that twitching chancer has got to say for himself

Cheers, Kevin.  I like to think our natural place in the hierarchy is the Championship - a long way off at the moment - but the occasional flirtation with the PL would be wonderful

I am watching your gates MDS. For a league 2 side i think they are fantastic. Hopefully with a good management team in place you should be back in the Championship within a few years.

And the Stoke fans sing to Pardew:  "...you'll be sacked in the morning...".

Stoke win 1-0. Newcastle joint bottom with Burnley.  So will Ashley wield the axe?

Would not suprise me. Ashley did not get where he is today by being Mista`soft touch`,or Mista `nice guy`.

A friend just sent me this.

Caught some of the WHU v QPR game on Sky today.  Hammers looked well organised, motivated and well worth their win. Big Sam looked smugly happy at the final whistle. QPR bottom and they look like a team likely to be battling against relegation for the rest of the season.

Posted on: 05 October 2014 by Kevin-W

Hi MDS, yes, it wasn't a classic but it was good to show Redknapp who's boss. To be honest QPR were so poor we never looked like losing or even conceding.

Going into the international break at 7th in the league... COYI!

Saints not that great yesterday, not that Spurs were much better. Much has been made of Mané's miss at the end. He'll get the next one and he caused problems elsewhere.

Chris

But still enjoying the giddy heights of 3rd.

Posted on: 06 October 2014 by Christopher_M

True.

But still the highlight was probably Saints fans singing to Pochettino: 'Where's your translator gone?' to the tune of Middle of The Road's Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.

Most of you probably use this site already, but if you dont its a good place to get info about most clubs. I use it a lot for our away trips and its free. Guy who has set it up has done a good job IMO.
