Murray Perahia - First 40 Years Box Set.

Just want to give forumites a nod for the following box set :

 

68 CD's, 5 DVD's of Murray Perahia. All Sony's recordings by him.

Available on our favourite 'rainforest' site (US version) for 35 quid plus delivery 15 quid - have they gone stark raving mad here !! What a steal ! Pre 1990 discs have all been remastered apparently.

 

 

Grab it while you can at this price !

Yes, it is such a good price it brings me to tears.  I would love to buy it at that price had I not bought it at full price when it just came out!  On top of this I already had many of the disc separately.  I was buying this only to fill in some of the missing discs I didn't already have.

 

I like Murray Perahia though and it would not have made sense for me to wait (for risk of the set selling out and the price goes up).  In this set and many, many others I ended up paying a lot and should have waited but then you never know. 

 

No second guessing.   What's done is done...

My sympathies Florestan.  

 

I own a lot of these discs already, but felt I had to take the plunge for the rest.

Perahia, to me, is the greatest living pianist - his 'sound' is unique and incredibly beautiful.

 

 But let's hope other forumites jump on to this quick and enjoy the sheer beauty of Murray Perahia .

Paid somewhere at the end of last year 90 euros for it right now 141 euros on Amazon.de - but it's a great set
