I thought it might be amusing, not to say ironic given the state of play here, to select some of the gems from our contributors on here for special mention.

A little off topic, but I agree.

What on earth would we take to hifi 'get togethers' if CDs and LPs were no more? A laptop or memory stick perhaps! Just wouldn't be the same would it.
