Infrared extender for remote

Posted by: Davidr on 19 February 2011

I have a Naim 52 with 135's on a Fraim and I want to put them on the other side of a partition wall. They will be with some home theatre kit so I will put it all in a storage room and just have the plasma and the speakers (SF Electa Amators) in the listening watching room. Any tips ideas?

Try a Harmony 900 remote.

Logitech/Harmony remote, with all that goes with it - one touch switching and source selection- along with a built in radio extender and base emitter.

Not cheap, but once set up easy to use and reliable. No plasma interference to contend with, like when using IR extenders.

The emitter has a wide flood beam, and also 2 smaller emmiters for direct conection to units.

Stating the obvious, but the remote is still IR too, so it can still control the plasma directly.

Also Xantech have a huge array of extenders if you want to keep your normal remotes.
