New album Smart Flesh - simply superb (slightly rough recording though)

See my comment in the 'What was the last CD you bought' thread. Only had one listen so far but it immediately engaged me.
I understand the recording ambience is deliberate, set up in a disused factory. I think it adds rather than distracts. Reminded me of the original Cowboy Junkies recorded in an old church. The atmosphere suits the intimate nature of the tracks for me.

I enjoyed their previous works so looking forward to their latest release. Encouraging to see positive comments.
Thank you

I saw them live a few months ago. Did a really nice job live.

Standout track to me is "Boeing 737" which is one of their noisy songs or as Mrs Tog says "they are shouting again!" - get the slightly more expensive edition with the bonus CD of out-takes - well worth it. Better than Charlie Darwin ... .? Too early to tell.

Got as far a track 4 on Spotify, 737 was OK , 'boring' was mine and SWMBO's assessment.
