Superb news - even more so coupled with the rumours of Apple upping the quality of iTunes tracks.
Remarkable how fast wireless is moving into the mainstream.

Gilad Tiefenbruns attack on apple and airtunes in his blog may well turn out to be Linn's biggest mistake. Ever.

Perhaps–there are plenty of arguments for or against collaboration with Apple Inc, but (in my opinion) there are good reasons for working together to shape digital music distribution, transmission and tagging / metadata standards. Burying one's head in the sand, under the aegis of support for "open standards", is not (in my opinion) a market-facing approach, and, if you look at historical shifts in the industry, an approach based on "principle" alone (i.e., stubbornness) has not typically proven to be financially rewarding....

Gilads attack on Apple reminds me of his father's "Is it a lemon?" attack on cd. Well cd wasn't a lemon, and apple isn't either. After all, apple and Linn have been around about the same number of years; one company has done rather better than the other.
Open minds and open systems beat open standards any day of the week - consumers just want stuff that works and gives them pleasure.
I think it's really great that Naim seem to be working with Apple and Airplay - bring it on.

Very true: in business it is important to be flexible and sometimes opportunistic. Right now, given the size of the customer base, Apple technology cannot be ignored. So Naim has to be compatible with Apple in order to satisfy this large population.
But it would be a mistake for Naim to become dependent on Apple technology.
Supporting both Airplay and UPnP is excellent, supporting both USB and IPod is also good.
The same should be done for control point application. Naim should also offer a choice for Windows and Android, not just rely on the iOS. On that front, Linn and Sonos are actually ahead.
