Asset/QNAP/nstream

Posted by: musica on 12 June 2014

I have been using asset/qnap for several weeks and it has worked fine once I found out how to use it correctly. There is however one problem. All my ripped cd's (dbpoweramp ripper) all show artwork correctly. These are wav rips. The same applies to some flac downloads (Linn).however I have some albums downloaded in wav from Naim Label which do not display artwork on nstream even though the artwork folder is in with the track files,as it is with my ripped cd's. I can only assume it is something to do with embedding. Does anyone have a solution..

thanks

Are the artwork files in jpeg and with a jpg extension?

Is there a single jpg file per folder? is the picture's resolution more or less identical to your other files...

Thanks Manu for your reply. The answer to all your points is yes. I have now looked at all the properties of the folder and it is the same as all other JPEG folders. The resolution is within the range of all other folders. I have tried a re-rip with same result. The next thing I tried was to scan the cd folder and use that artwork loaded into dbpoweramp ripper instead of using the artwork found by the ripper. It is the same image but for some reason it has worked and artwork is now shown in nstream. Why I do not know. It does have a different resolution but both are within the range of all other artwork on the system.quite a mystery.

Thanks
