He will join Real Madrid. Perfect match with the likes of Pepe and Ramos.

You are 38 times more likely to be bitten by Luis Suarez on a football pitch than by a shark in Australian waters.

Since the Uruguayan first went dental back in 2010, the Australia National Shark Attack File show that 66 of the 3.8 million people who have braved the Aussie coast were bitten by sharks meaning that there is a 57,575/1 chance of you being on the menu should you go for a dip.

During the same time period the Liverpool striker has left his mark on 3 of the 4,530 individuals he has shared a pitch with meaning that you stand a much smaller 1,510/1 chance of getting bitten by the PFA Player of the Year.

I think the Italian should bring a case for assault. This is a criminal matter for me not a sporting one. A  bite would be viewed seriously by a Court. Kicking, barging and the odd flying elbow are part if the game, spitting biting and such like are not.

At some point maybe Suarez will hold up his hand and take responsibility for his action; but I'm not holding my breath. To fall to the ground clutching his onw mouth was utterly pathetic.

Bit like when Rivaldo went down clutching his face at the corner flag after the ball hit his leg...

Absolutely!!!!   problem was that if he had been in a mouth to shoulder collision as he claimed in a US TV interview I watched (not sure if it was broadcast in UK/Europe) I would have expected him to be clutching is mouth/lips as if that collision did happen his teeth would have damaged his mouth/lips internally.

To fall clutching only at his teeth just made it clear to all that he knew straight away what he had done, he actually highlighted it.  He did not have enough time to think it thru' & in the heat of the moment made that preposterous feigning gesture.

He has an anger management issue & needs help,  it didn't work last time so go do it again – & Liverpool should consider not playing him & taking him  off the payroll until it does work.

I wonder how gnashed would have got in the era of Billy Bremner and Ron Harris. I suspect him biting one of those would have provoked a reaction that might have given him good cause to go down clutching his face.

Didn't Joe Jordan once go to hospital after a game to have two teeth removed...from his elbow?

It's £65,000 according to the BBC but probably still not a lot compared to what he earns.

The 4 month ban probably agreed with Barcelona so he wouldn't be cup-tied for them for the Champions League.

£65,680 - about 3 days pay !!!!

Nice one FIFA

Yes, Mista H,  I agree about Vinnie, though Gnasher wouldn't be clutching his mouth after tangling with him!

What other job could you do where you get to BITE a fellow professional, for a 3rd time no less, in front of millions, perhaps billions of people and the punsihment is to stay away from work for a few weeks?!

And despite everyone knowing you bite people and could easily do so again, potential employers are still lining up to pay you squillions?

Beyond belief.

Given my earlier post, I should now give credit to FIFA for the size and scope of the ban handed down to him.  Bit harsh on Liverpool to lose him (again) for so long at the start of the 14/15 season. It will be interesting to see how LFC react.

Posted on: 26 June 2014 by dave4jazz

LFC had a premonition. That's why they signed Rickie Lambert.

And Rickie's debut at Anfield will be against Southampton, probably with Lallana alongside.

Agreed, he is his own worst enemy.

Now the bans in place, it looks like he won't be playing for Liverpool again and will be sold on before the Champions League gets underway.

If one was really cynical, you could say he probably manufactured the whole thing to ease his departure out....but you would have to be really cynical.

Jason.
