Naim DAC FLAC update now available

Naim’s DAC updated for use with NDX and FLAC files A DAC software update is now available for download from the Naim website. The update can be accessed from the DAC product page (URL provided below) by clicking on the ‘Manuals & Downloads’ tab. The update makes the Naim DAC compatible with the NDX, for those DAC owners looking to add the NDX into their existing system, and it allows the DAC to play FLAC files stored on memory stick through its front-panel USB port, as well as the currently supported WAV format. Hi

Another case of slowed playback + clicking sounds with 192 kHz flacs here if anyone is interested. Getting same results regardless of where the 192s come from (third party or own coding). Wavs are fine though just like no upgrade

Best regards

Jean-Marie,

Who did you email? I've had a look through my emails from the weekend and have nothing that I can see - if Steve also has nothing then we need to find out why your mail didn't get through...

Cheers

Hello Phil,

I emailed to support@...

I unfortunately do not have a copy of the e-mail, but succintly it said that I'm having the "ploc" problem with FLAC files downloaded as samples on HDtracks.com, and the problem is observed with WAV files too, if the frequency is higher than 96 kHz.

Anyway, I saw that the problem is identified in the Hi-Fi corner of this forum, so probably I do not need to send another mail, isn't it ?

Best regards
