nait xs2 + ND5xs (volumecontrole by n-Stream app

Will it be posible to controle the volume knob with the n-Stream app when the nait xs2 is connected with the minijack cable on the back of the nait xs2 and ND5xs?

Is this discribed in a manual ( where? )

Yes you can.

The info is under 'System Automation' on page 15 of the ND5XS manual.

Once set up you can control the amp's volume from the ND5's remote control or via the n-stream app which will then have an option to show the volume control under the setup settings (gear wheel icon).

And also selcting the sources with the n-Stream app?

Not sure about your question. I think you can select a source connected to the streamer such as a CD which is connected to the streamer's digital input but not sure you can control it e.g. Play/Pause etc. using the app.

BTW your profile indicates that you have a UQ but there's no mention of the ND5XS or NaitXS2. Perhaps you need to update your profile

Just seen the following under "System Automation" in the ND5XS manual:

"Selecting CD Player opens a menu that makes CD transport control available through the NDX/5XS n-Stream interface.
Select Enabled to enable CD control and select Input Used to specify the NDX/5XS, preamplifier or DAC input that the CD player is connected to.

Note: CD player transport control using the NDX/5XS handset is not possible. The n-Stream App must be used."

So it looks like you can select and control a Naim CD player which is connected direct to the Nait XS2 using the n-stream app.
