Flushed with pride of how the show went last year, we hope you can join us on 29 or 30th August 2014.
More details on our website : signals.uk.com/show".
"A little update regarding the forthcoming show.
The plan is for Naim to bring along the Statement with some Focal Grande Utopia loudspeakers.
This very Statement has just left Hong Kong and is now in Taipei, Taiwan for the TAA International High End Show 14-17 August. Next stop is Salisbury where it should be readied for Audio Show East in Ipswich. Yikes. Major league
In addition to this mighty great system, Naim will have the full Uniti range plus mu-so and there will be at least one additional Naim system lurking elsewhere at the venue.
There is a free raffle prize of a mu-so for one of the visitors, so please register your interest and come along!
Besides Naim, there are quite a few significant brands due to be present.
The address is:
Trinity Events Centre, Trinity Park, Felixstowe Road, Ipswich IP3 8UH
please email us directly or telephone if you would like to register.
The opening times are:
12.00 until 18.00 on Friday 29th

Andrew

I will be there!
DB.
Is Darke Bear going to come up against Polar Bear?
They already have Mr Strat, and I've a photograph prove it!
Well, it has been a long day, setting up from 1300 hrs and still quite a lot to do in the morning. I'm glad we don't start until 1200 hrs tomorrow!
Looks forward to the sleep of the knackered.
From the rooms already set up, I'd say this should be a good one.
Good luck to the Signals crew for today. I'm sure it'll be an excellent event!
Maybe I'll pop in tomorrow, all being well.
I'm all excited.
Enjoy it guys and make sure you warm those systems up for tomorrow
PB you and your "Darke" Cousin should go and stay overnight - surely that stuff requires added security?
Good luck...I'd love to come and hear the Statement, but its close to 100 miles from where I live. Still contemplating it.
For me as well Shanks in fact over 100 but i'm going for it!!!!
Its a long drive for us too, it will be worth it though!!
Great show Alastair and Andy... Good to hear the Naim Statement, quite an engineering feat.., the Kudos speakers in the Linn room along with the LP12 were sounding superb and very impressed with the new Arcam A49 reference integrated.. And fascinating talking to its designer..a real engineering enthusiast... Some great electronic amp innovation in that design.
All in all another great event.. Thanks
Simon
Which Kudos speakers Simon?
Titan T88's I believe
Well Simon? You must have an opinion on the Statement other than it's quite an engineering feat?
Steve - i will corner myself into a trap if not careful. Personally I did not get on with the Focal Utopia speakers that were partnered with the Statement - I must learn to be less fussy with my speakers.. so I don't think I heard the Statement any where near its best for my ears - so I can't objectively comment - but it looked the part!!
Many thanks to the Signals gang and all the exhibitors for staging a fabulous show in a lovely venue.
Naim Statement? My first exposure to the beast. Beautiful - visually and sonically. The Focal Stella Utopias are an unknown quantity to me, but I was spellbound by the sound of the combo. I've had very few 'wow' moments at Hi-Fi shows in the last forty years, but this was surely one of them.
The new Arcam A49 integrated amp was impressive - the PMC's 'Twenties' and Fact 12's sounded good. Kudos Titans were as fabulous as usual and the new X3's sounded delightfully musical and engaging running off a simple 'two-box' Naim NDX and a Supernait 2.
There were some good sounds from Rega as usual, and it was great to catch up with Paul Darwin and his encyclopaedic knowledge of music.
Well done to all concerned. Surely the premier/exclusive UK Hi-Fi show. No pressure for next year then, Alastair and Andy?
John.
A great event, thoroughly enjoyable. A great range of products on demo, although for me I found the PMC room very hard to leave! The new twenty six is outstanding driven by those Brystons, a real joy to listen to. Then the Fact 12 builds further on these if you have another £6k burning a hole in your pocket, but the 26's really drew me in. Statement made its, well......statement, but again, I too did not find the focal's to be my cup of tea. Can't believe I'm nit picking about a 140k pair of speakers here, but whilst they were amazing in certain areas, they just weren't to my liking in others. Statement clearly is an awe inspiring product however and clearly well beyond anything I've heard before.....was dying to wheel the PMC 26's next door and try on the end of the statement....that would be fun If not rather overkill!!
Thanks again to Alastair and Andy for a chance to hear some of the finest offerings out there. I'm sure anyone else attending will enjoy a great relaxed and informative day too.

Its funny I thought the same with the Kudos Titans
Also I can't tell a lie - but was wondering what a Hugo would sound like into the Statement.... along with the Titans - I suspect it would have been drop dead awesome...
I have to be honest and admit that I found the Statement dem to be a bit of a disappointment. The Focals were too "shouty" for my ears. My gut feeling is that the NDS and Statement are superb products but are being "held back" by the speakers. Perhaps Naim should manufacture an Ovator 1000 or bring back the DBL and then we can really hear how good the amp is.
The highlights for me were the Rega and Kudos rooms. I'm guilty of owner bias with Rega and would love to compare the RP10 to my P9. The Kudos speakers are simply wonderful. I ended up wandering into the room on several occasions and the Kudos guys were probably getting fed up with me. If I ever retire the IBLs then Kudos will be on the dem list. Such a shame that we could not sneak the Titans into the Naim room, it would have given Focal something to think about....
The show itself was well organised and a big thank-you to Signals.
On entering the venue I told Mrs Signals that I wouldn't be looking at anything I couldn't afford, so first stop ... Naim Statement. I found it partly amazing and partly meh. If not being too bitchy, I wondered what the NDS/Statement might sound like without the bottleneck of the speakers :-( The Statement thought this too, by blowing the Stella Utopias' bass drivers with the cannons on the 1812 Overture, at a volume no greater than I've experienced at some Naimites' places. A bit of a worry, I thought.
Other exciting news, the Naim big rig featured some pre production new cables. The new speaker cable is neither black nor white, and bends more easily than Naca5; no price indicator ... But it is intended to go with Statement, so not bargain bin territory I'll bet.
Back to the real world. The new Kudos X3 speakers (their first public outing) sounded brilliant with bare NDX and Supernait ... Why pay more?
I managed to drag my poor ravaged body along today, & really enjoyed a superb event. Many thanks to Signals for such a great hi-fi show, they got everything right!
A pleasure to meet up with some of the noble naimites again - J.N., Polar and Darke Bears, Gary, and many thanks to JWM for popping in to see me last night on his way home from the show.
Although not particulary enamoured with Focal speakers, the pair Naim used today on the end of the Statement sounded very fine; there's no doubt the Statement is something very special. Kind of Naim to let me try it to drive my DBLs on the end of my home system for a few weeks. OK, made that last bit up...
The Titans, as always, were doing excellent service in the Kudos room, with LP12 front end.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Alastair, Andy & the other good friends, I was whisked away by my chauffeur rather suddenly.
Here's to next year!
A very successful show once again and so huge thanks must go to Alastair and Andy and all the exhibitors for all their hard work and friendliness.
The Statement is certainly a thing of engineering beauty and stunning to listen to. I would have liked to have heard a fully fledged LP12 and CD555 through it as well as the NDS.
Kudos and PMC speakers were producing some very engaging sounds as usual.
Did anyone take any photos of any of the demo rooms?
Would be nice to see out of interest.
