Streaming whole of collection random on N stream

Posted by: Kiwi cat on 22 July 2014

As part of breaking in my new A5 cables and recently acquired S400s, I would like to play my whole CD collection on my unitiserve on random, whilst I am at work each day. May also be fun to hear new tracks I do not usually play. How do I play the whole collection on random using the N stream app?

You can't do that.

...but you can do it with the remote instead by selecting "all tracks" or equivalent, pressing the play button, then pressing the shuffle button. Lo tech still rocks.

If you use nStream and tap and hold on the "all tracks" (or any other category, like album, artist, genre, etc.) entry, the play menu pops up...but it builds a playlist limited to (the first?) 250 items. Not sure why there's a limit on items, but there is.

It works when you're home too, which is nice(r). Best wishes as you launch "Radio Kiwi"!

Thanks Alan. Just listening to some CCR, haven't heard for a while. Now Rod Stewart, tonight's the night, might push the "next button"! Ah, Van the man! Like many people I'll buy a cd for perhaps 2 tracks and ignore the rest, so will discover some hidden gems like " The healing game" playing now. Lots of fun!

If all else fails--------use the remote!
