King Creosote "From Scotland With Love"

Not the follow up to Diamond Mine (sadly) with no Jon Hopkin to weave that sublime atmosphere this is a more conventional sounding recording of folky tunes with some orchestration and other additional contributors....but...it still has more than a whiff of that same magic.

The first track is just lovely, and has some of the fragility and mood of Diamond Mine. Others vary between the calm and faster paced, even a nicely judged kids playground ditty that morphs into a very cheery song.

If you loved Diamond Mine (and I think lots on here do) this will do for a while until those two get back together. Please.
