Posted by: Ersk1 on 17 August 2014
Hi
Have a second hand HDX all is perfect bar the infra red remote control supplied with the machine doesn't work. Have replaced batteries n still nothing. Remember reading something about re setting or changing channel but cannot find detail here in the forum or in the manual?
Any help appreciated.
Ken
Hi Ken,
Congrats on your HDX, you'll love it! I've bought mine ex-dem and when I received it, the remote was missing. My dealer ordered a new one, but to be honest; I've never used it that much. Currently it's on the attic.
Get yourself an iPad or an iPod and get the n-Serve app, you'll never look back!
Regards,
Michel
There is a setting in the OSX nserve app and presumably PC version to turn off the IR, make sure yours is not in that position.
Check this thread out. Details the procedure for getting the remote to work.

Hi Geofiz thanks for the link, my HDX remote does not have an "Aux" button. Remote matches documentation so think that thread relates to another remote??

Cheers garyi yes I have checked that and Front IR receiver is enabled...

Thanks Michael I'm loving it so far!! Great sound and easy to use. Yes I have iPhone set up ... I wanted to see if I could get the IR to also control my amp volume that the n-serve/ iPhone app won't allow.
I remember that it worked for my SuperNait...

hi I wrote the other link, you are right there is no aux you need
'input, page down, and "1" pressed simultaneously got the remote and machine back in sync'
Hi, I had this problem with the HDX not responding to the remote and found that the HDX Remote Code was set to 7. After a few attempts to reset, it finally worked but seemed to need the HDX display to be on, as by default mine switches-off after a few seconds. It may also be a matter of how well you synchronise the pressing of the keys.
One other thing:- after resetting the HDX the remote would not work with the NAC282. Removing and replacing the batteries fixed this.
