Toslink woes on UQ2 solved

Posted by: BigRooster747 on 26 August 2014

Hi all,

just a quick note to say my toslink woes are over. The heavier ones will not connect to the unitiqute2 slots, since the receiving end on the Qute seems to be recessed some. The shoulders of the connectors of the heavier ones are too wide to get them seated deep enough, hence a loose fit.

I found a very thin cable (3mm) with thin connectors that do fit and click into the receiving end on the unitiqute with a positive click! It's the DeltaC/Dynamic high quality brand by www.deltackabel.nl. Part number is 543. 1,5 meters for 10 euro's. Probably to be had cheaper somewhere.

Had a similar problem with a DAC-V1 I had on loan.

Not just Naim either. I had it with Cyrus. There do seem to be a few more thin cables with small connectors available now than when I had my problem, but it still seems that big connectors and big cables are the more common. Maybe they look more impressive.
