Hello I used to have a half decent set up AVi amps arcam cd and roksan ojan 3 speakers etc but I lost motivation and just settled for a very basic hi fi  last week whilst in  a second hand shop I spotted a naim nait 2 amp plus a naim nait 2 tuner for sale at the princely sum of £10 I bought them thinking these are not going to work but for £10 I took a chance lo and behold I set them up  and they are perfect I still have the ojans and here I am

Gumba - That is one heck of a lucky find. Given that they work, if the cases are in good cosmetic condition they are worth around 100 times that !! For a real treat get them serviced by Naim or one of their authorised service agents; Class A does very good work at reasonable cost. More smiles await you. I just had a Nait 2 serviced for a study system with some old Rega Kytes and it is a real joy.

Chrome Bumper or Olive?

Congratulations

Sam

Yea it was a find but I reckon it's going to cost me, catching up and all the amp and tuner are black by the bumper do you mean the surround? If so it is also black it is difficult to describe the face its kinda a drab colour I also have a linn axis turntable I will have to dig out and dust down needs a stylus though I don't know where to start on that

Naim Nait "tuner"   errr  no such beast

The Nait-2 looking tuner - assuming its a one box affair - is the NAT-02

£10 - you lucky beggar !!!!

They will be even better for a service after which both will worth +/- 400-500 each

Yea you are right it is the nat 02 then serial number thanks

Black edge to the surround and drab colour probably means they are olive series which were the later model. Chrome Bumper would have a black fascia and the edge of the surround would be silver (chrome).  Also the CB has much larger knobs (oops!). Either way you have a bargain. Enjoy

Lucky man! If you intend to keep them, have them serviced. If you want to sell, give them a good clean and pass them on for someone else to enjoy them as the profit margin would not be worth the trouble.
Either way, well done. Bargain of the century...
