M83 re-releases

Just received the re-released first three M83 albums on vinyl. Very clean good quality pressings (although I'm sure the original recordings are all digital, they're very high quality).

Wonderful electronic 'wall of sound' with happy vibes, big rhythms, jangly sound and wonderful production. You'll have heard more than a bit of it if you watch television or go to contemporary cinema.

And they're French! From Antibes (I think it's more 'he' than 'they' these days).

Good stuff.

Yes I have Dead Cities,Red Seas,Lost Ghosts - excellent! Is the 1st self titled a good one?

Do the keyboards sound more church organ on vinyl as opposed to the cd?

I lump it in my collection along with Spiritualised, MBV etc rather than with the Frenchies like Air, Kid Loco, Colleen..

I think it has been Anthony Gonzales alone since after this 2nd album.

Also, btw, your piece on the U2 "gift" is brilliant, still feeling queasy here.
