It is possible to mirror the screen of the iPad using AirPlay and an AppleTV.

There are various video cables for i-pad to TV on Amazon web site, fred.  I use this one with a standard computer video cable.  It's a matter of what inputs your TV has.   http://www.amazon.co.uk/iPad-D...rds=ipad+video+cable

There are also i-pad to hdmi cables - that should work for most (modern) TVs.

I have used my iPad with Apple TV to mirror its display on a TV.  But this does not help if one is using the touch pad for user input.

the display can be zoomed, but i find this feature awkward.

i am sorry i do not have better suggestions..
