A standalone track in an album. At the end of the selected  track it plays the next Number.

I have no issues at all so far. Iphone 5 with ios8. I understand some of You have real issues but some of the complaints in this thread are just weird. Can't deselect an input to silence the dvd? It's a feature to be able to browse the library while something else is playing. Stop the dvd from playing instead.

And to me the old app was crap. IT looked like it was from the nineties. Anyway, thought i'd just say something since i think this is a big step in the right direction. And apparently an update with more features is coming in a week.. Good work so far Naim!

Not sure why the vitriol - a few hours in and I am pleasantly impressed with the new UI.  As a first release of a whole new UI (and likely code base) this is really slick.  It certainly beats the nice looking but perpetually confusing Sonos app.

Yes, it is different to n-Stream, but take a few minutes to re-familiarise yourself and you should be fine. Change can be good...

3- where has my information regarding file format gone including the buffer info.

Scott

2. Same as it did in n-Stream

3. It is still there.  On the screen showing the currently playing track, tap on the book icon, bottom left.

3. When I tap on the book icon (bottom left) it shows the track info in a split second, after which the app searches for the album info. How can we properly read the track info?

No info about stream 44 or 96 or 192.

No Rovi info at all does not work.

Please Naim I am not happy give us the change to go back and I will wait till all this problems will be solved to download again.

> They need to solve the mentioned issues. Can't be complex IMHO (bit of coding in a weekend )

The format shows in the little book. But if you are looking for other albums, while playing something else, you can't see the format, as their book (while not playing) always says 44, rather than 96 or 192. It's not a big issue, but it would be nice to know.

It's essential in some cases, eg when comparing sound quality. I surely hope all these posts will be read. Naim-app-team: do take at least 50% of all notes/tips serious!

I agree change can be good - if it's a step forward. I now have no album artwork, I can't see what the time is, I can't adjust the volume without going to a different screen, I need to go to Spec Savers as the font is so small, oh and my iPad has crashed 4 times now. Still chin up, character building stuff.......

Oh please do get rid of the animated avatar. It is horrible to have that on the menu.

Fred40,
When you have the album tracks showing to the right of each song title there are 3 dots.tap the dots and this will give you the option you are looking for.

Yes, thanks for that, it's just that sometimes you get so used to doing things a certain way, we both hate the root menu 'music' which is usually much louder than the film dialogue. It seems strange an input selector won't 'select' though.

On the positive side the volume slider seems to have no latency and is nice and useable, the old one was way too small.

Shame that they didn't replace the generic folder with a piece of cover art (e.g. showing the first found REM cover art under the REM folder). Would make it much more graphical and nice to use.

Sorry. It does not. In the old naim green version it did, but not in this version. It shows if i want to select a playlist that"s all.

Posted on: 22 September 2014 by sjbabbey

Whatever you do don't navigate back to the main screen from the play queue because you won't be able to get back to the play queue again. I've just spent a frustrating few minutes and each time I tap the track playing at the bottom of the main screen the app just closes. It's maddening!

Posted on: 22 September 2014 by Justin9960

I have found a positive, being able to adjust the balance on the app rather than relying on the remote control!! Just need to unlock things now, as the volume slider is not moving.

Posted on: 22 September 2014 by Harry

I would very much appreciate the facility to revert back to nStream until the new app is more stable, has better facilities and is easier to navigate. For something which has been in the works all year (possibly longer) this is just awful. We need nStream available for those who want to revert. At least in the short to medium term.

Pleased with the update here, looks much better than the previous version, really like the option to have different sized album art and text. I'd echo what others have said in requesting a green style or possibly the option to select colour and background pattern independently, and to be able to display a volume control at all times.

Does anyone know whether the nserve app will also be updated with the new UI ?

Posted on: 22 September 2014 by KRM

Yes Wazz, that would have been nice.

However, I do like the app. Obviously, I might feel diferent if I was experiencing technical problems, but I'm reasonably happy. Just sort out the volume control thing please Naim.

At your service & you were right:

it distracted from the real serious issues mentioned here. GrTz.

Question for others - I thought this would replace nServe for editing metadata, downloading art etc. Does it do this, because for the life of me I can't find it?

I think the problem is with fetching the artwork. If you are quick and tap on the upnp icon before the artwork appears alongside the track playing then it will take you to the play queue but only momentarily.

Once the artwork appears in the play queue view, the app then does a runner and closes.

I like the way it pauses when you press mute (never noticed that on the old version). Shame you can't select a green background but really like the old naim logo in the top corner to select the inputs.
