Looks great, but it says that spotify connect is only available for mu-so but sloop john appears to be on a Qute?

Don't think you can downgrade apps on itunes. perhaps if you had a backup on a pc/mac you could restore your phone/ipad to a previous state.

I updated my app because the app store gave me a notification, I noticed  the warning that it only works with IOS8. But I have a Unitiqute 1 and it's not supported!? I have to reverse otherwise I can' t use my Unitiqute. But N-serve is not available in the app store anymore... strange. What if I buy a new I-Pad Tomorrow or what if I sell my Unitiqute? How will the next owner be able to download 3.6? Does this imply that the next owner can't get a working App for a Unitiqute? That can't be true because it makes my Unitiqute worthless! Does anyone have idea to help me?

I haven't got ios8 and it works just fine. How have you got Spotify and Qubuz on there though?

Updated app wont work at all on my iphone. Restored the old version, I guess I'll just soldier on with that for the time being. From what I could tell, the new version is little more than a cosmetic revamp that fails to address any of the criticisms raised about n-stream.

Wow. It's ugly, isn't it?

I'm happy to see Naim rethink, or revamp, or renovate, their interface app. Absolutely. But I'm more than a bit surprised to see that a modern streaming product that they produced until two or three years ago is not just orphaned, but apparently in the case of the control app, rendered useless.

I'm also.... disappointed, that they could not even put a note on the app store page that warned us relatively recent purchasers that our equipment would be made almost unusable with this upgrade.

I genuinely hope I'm doing something incorrectly with the upgrade, or that I've missed some other critical piece of information; I hope the fault is mine. But at the moment, I'm not feeling too pleased with this piece of progress.

Looks like Sloop John B has lots of toys on his. All I have under Audio Settings is a tick box :-/

Using an NDS.

Keith, me too with NDX. I suspect, if not a mockup, one or two might be using beta streamer firmware and have let the cat out of the bag.. Hence might be being a little coy now, because if it is the case you are usually asked not to discuss beta programmes on the forum.

Integrated Spotify and Qobuz on a Qute. Come on Naim, you have been outed!!!

Maybe it"s not a good idea for Naim to dive in the Digital world If they even can"" t manage a simple app to work right.Although mine seems to work.

Hi ChrisSu,
How did you go about restoring previous version.

Cheers scott

Screen view @ SJB’s post must be made possible via new firmware for added services, if it is not a hoax

New app worked OK last night but it was a very short stint. On the other thread some find N Stream archaic but I did not like ‘modern’ look of the new one as it is way too flat on my old iPad (iOS8). It found my UQ2 (3.21) right away. UPNP was a different story, it was way too cranky. N Stream was super stable and fast in comparison. Missing bit rate and buffer level can be overlooked but wish we had them in new feature too. iRadio operation via app was the most messy. During that it almost crashed.

Hopefully Naim would soon offer Epsom green as one of background colours in the new app as a conciliatory gesture

It was IOS7 not 8, my pad's on 7 and it is functional.

Have you spotted the 'style' option, I've chosen blue wave but it only shows on top level screens and goes back to black when showing play queues and folder contents etc. Is this supposed to happen I wonder?

Yes I did. I have chosen the blue wave too as it seemed the nicest one among those garish muso grill colours. I am not sure either if preferred colour is only meant for landing screen..

What a total heap of shite the new app is.its a poor show when the old app far out ways the new one.
This should of been a new app not a update so you can back to something that works.

Scott, I deleted the new app on my iphone, then found the old version on itunes on my computer and restored it from there with my phone connected by USB.

If you don't have a computer with itunes, and your iphone linked to it, I guess this won't be an option. If you do, don't let it update your apps automatically, or you might lose the old version. I never thought I'd see the day when I was pleased to see that familiar green logo on my phone, but there you go!

I usually wait a while before updating any software, until any initial glitches have been ironed out, but I was so keen to see the back of n-stream that I just went for it, given the number of people posting on another thread that it worked for them. I'm using an old, soon to be replaced iphone 4, so it's possible I'll have to stick with n-stream until I replace it.

SJB...How did you get to the volume control and balance settings? If I click on 'Imput settings', all I get is 'Input enabled' - 'Input name' - 'Clear UPnP cache' - 'UPnP compatibility mode' and 'Input Trim'!

How many folk singers does it take to change a lightbulb?

Ten - one to change the bulb and nine to sing about how good the old one was.

I rather like the new app, but clearly I must be wrong.

HH, As an entry-level complainer, I don't think you or others are wrong at all, and I'm definitely pleased that most owners are having a good experience; it means that chances are good that I, too, will have success with it.

As I mentioned in another thread, I did finally get the new app to work; it was not easy or intuitive, but it does seem to be up and functioning.

And I don't know yet what my opinion will be RE the old app or the new app; I'll wait until I've spent time with it before I post, but even then, I don't expect it to be the same as the old app, or that it will be better in every respect (for me).

Folk music? Never heard of the stuff.
