Paul, I think your response got cut off as it doesn't make much sense!

Would it be worth someone starting a feature request thread? The other thread on whether people like it or not is getting too busy and cluttered. If someone were to keep Post #1 reserved and updated with people's requests we could get a master list going.

I for one was hoping for (perhaps naively) the ability to at least control volume and skip tracks from the iPhone lock screen. 

I was thinking the same thing - a post inviting people to make positive suggestions about what they'd like n-stream to do could potentially lead to Naim giving users the app they really want. Should have been done about a year ago, then maybe the new version would have been a real step forward in functionality. Your request for lock screen control is a blindingly obvious thing to want from the app, and no other 3rd party app I've seen lacks it - a good example of what we might put on our wishlist. I suspect it can't be done without Airplay.

If nobody else bothers, I'll start a thread myself when I've got a minute - if anyone would care to beat me to it, that's fine.

Yes, but none of my wishes came true! I think it might be useful to have a single thread that everyone can use for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.....no rants allowed!!!!!

I too have just downloaded the new Naim n-stream app, and found that it does not work on the uPnP input option. All others inputs OK, iRadio, DAB, FM, minidisc, iPod dock etc. But the uPnP option does not allow changing of streamed music or any control at all really.

I have deleted the app and reloaded it, but to no avail.

Has anyone else come across this anomaly?

As of now, the main wishes on the list are stability and full functionality, which when you consider we're not beta testing (or at least not officially) are needs which should have been addressed already. As has been pointed out, the wish list is long, spans a number of threads and many months. What is the point in starting another when all before have amounted to something between nought, and not much?

I have noticed that there is no item count for a folder anymore.

So I would like to have this, plus the Format type and Sampling frequency for sources including UPnP/USB served files, a Digital input or iRadio, in the new control app.

Keith, when I tap on the ABC icon at the top it toggles the alphabetical listing on and off. I thought it rather neat and I applaud the larger font. Some of the options I've seen under settings (from screen grabs) don't exist for my NDS. Balance would be nice. I have a channel imbalance which in the longer term will have to be sorted out at the factory.

HI - I wonder if someone could answer a question about the new nStream app for me.

I guess, like many people, I am holding of from updating the app because of the number of less than positive comments that have been posted on the forum.

One feature that I like on the legacy app is the ability to browse albums (along with album art) in a 'matrix' view. Is this still available in the new version? From the screenshots I have seen it would appear that albums are view in a linear (not matrix) view (similar to that available on the Linn Kinsky app). It has always annoyed me that while the Windows Desktop instance of Kinskky (why can't we have one of these for nStream) allows you to display albums in matrix mode, this is not possible on the iPad version of Kinsky.

How can this new app be difficult to understand? It's even easier to understand and use than the old N-stream? Radio and presets as well as playlists are easily available too - and that's a definite improvement!

Installed it and the old alphybet is there.

I am fairly sure that the matrix view is still available - garyi's screen shots in one of the other threads certainly show this.
